GARLIC contains over 200 different compounds including germanium, 17 amino acids, 33 sulphur compounds, vitamin B1, B2, B3 and C as well as mineral such as magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, calcium and selenium. It also contains huge amounts of antioxidants.

Garlic has been used as a traditional remedy since 5,000 years ago and today it is being used in the areas of cardiovascular disease and cancer by medical researchers.

 

Latest research from the Cardiovascular Research Center, School of Medicine, University of Connecticut shows that garlic is more potent when it is freshly crushed or cut. Hydrogen sulfide, "a chemical agent in our body" that can increase blood circulation, is created via a chemical reaction after chopping or crushing. When garlic is processed or cooked, hydrogen sulfide is lost.
